The statue of Edward Snowden, called by its creators Prison Ship Martyrs' Monument 2.0, was an ephemeral, illegally-installed public statue of Edward Snowden, an American whistleblower who leaked classified information from the National Security Agency (NSA) and was charged with federal crimes as a result. The bronze-like statue was placed in Fort Greene Park in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, New York City, on April 6, 2015. It was attached to a Doric column on the perimeter of the park's Prison Ship Martyrs' Monument, a memorial and which honors more than 11,500 American prisoners of war who died in the American Revolution.

The statue was mounted by three anonymous artists and their helpers, who were dressed in white helmets and reflective vests of Parks Department workers, early in the morning of April 6, then covered and taken down by NYC Parks officials later that day.

The church was built in 1819-22 and the brick walled crypt stretches under the whole church. The section shown in this model is the part open to the public as an events space. However it still contains old church memorials and tombs.

According to legend the arm of Royal Secretary Olof Sverkersson Elfkarl, in office during the reign of Swedish kings [Johan III](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_III_of_Sweden), [Sigismund](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sigismund_III_Vasa) and [Karl IX](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_IX_of_Sweden).

Olof Sverkersson was called Olof Turncoat in many parts of the country and in [Finland](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finland) (which was a part of [Sweden](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sweden) at that time) they called him Olof Perkelson, i.e. Olof Son of the Devil.

The arm was included in the [Skokloster](https://goo.gl/Mspd5w) collection in the 1750’s when a substantial amount of objects were transferred from Salsta manor, previously owned by the [Bielke](https://goo.gl/F78x9L) family, to Skokloster. The arm had been in the Bielke armoury “since time immemorial”.

A large drinking fountain in Victoria Park, London. The Burdett-Coutts memorial fountain was designed by Henry Astley Darbishire in 1862 for the philanthropist Angela Burdett Coutts (1814-1906).

The Lion of Aspern is a war memorial created by Anton Dominik Fernkorn, which was erected in 1858 at Asperner Heldenplatz (today a district of Vienna). The sculpture is made of sandstone and commemorates the Austrian soldiers who died in the battle of Aspern.

Fernkorn created a larger-than-life sculpture of a lying, dying lion on a stone base with an oak leaf garland on a stone foundation. Between the front paws is a Napoleonic eagle, under the body an emperor's cloak, and on the left side of the body are field signs. The lion is pierced by a lance whose tip protrudes behind the left shoulder blade of the animal below the mane.

From the blue plaque: "These steps and arch are surviving fragments of the 1831 London Bridge designed by John Rennie and built by his son Sir John Rennie. These steps were the scene of the murder of Nancy in Charles Dicken's novel Oliver Twist."
It is not clear who placed this plaque and the part about Oliver Twist is not accurate. See links above.

London Bridge Nancy Steps

Author Hans Christian Andersen, known as H.C. in Denmark, has been immortalized next to Copenhagen's City Hall. 
Already in 1936 there was a proposal for a statue of Hans Christian Andersen on the City Hall square. 
In 1937 Utzon-Frank won a competition for a memorial for the poet. 
However, the statue was not finished by the artist's death in 1955, and it was Luckow-Nielsen who has taken over.

The little bush moa (*Anomalopteryx didiformis*) is an extinct bird from New Zealand. Several species of moa used to live in New Zealand, and all of these species were flightless. The little bush moa was the smallest moa species.

This skeleton has been constructed by digitising bones from the ornithological collections of the Auckland War Memorial Museum, Auckland, New Zealand. Little bush moa skeleton

Mount Rushmore National Memorial is centered on a colossal sculpture carved into the granite face of Mount Rushmore in the Black Hills in Keystone, South Dakota. Sculptor Gutzon Borglum created the sculpture's design and oversaw the project's execution from 1927 to 1941 with the help of his son, Lincoln Borglum. The sculpture features the 60-foot (18 m) heads of Presidents George Washington (1732–1799), Thomas Jefferson (1743–1826), Theodore Roosevelt (1858–1919) and Abraham Lincoln (1809–1865), as recommended by Borglum. Mesick Cohen Wilson Baker Architects created a digital 3D model of the Spirit of Life sculpture in Congress Park in Saratoga Springs, New York. The Sprit of Life was completed by Daniel Chester French in 1914. The sculpture was commissioned as a memorial to Spencer Trask. Photos used to create this digital model were provided by Rumara Jewett.

Soviet War Memorial

Female figure made of sandstone with long hair and cape. The head is lowered, a flower in the left hand, the right raised to the face. The statue is part of the war memorial erected in 1924 at the Hollabrunn cemetery. The artist was Theodor von Charlemont.

In 1967, one of Europe’s largest monument complexes commemorating victims of Nazism was opened on the camp territory. The memorial creates a symbol of the border between life and death with a 100 metre-long concrete wall, on which is written  – “Beyond these gates the land groans”. There are also seven concrete sculptures: “Mother”, “The Unbroken”, “The humuliated”, “Protest”, “Red Front”, “Solidarity”,“The Oath”. The Salaspils Memorial Ensemble is part of Latvia’s cultural canon. An exhibition is constructed at the gates of the monument. Sculptors Ļ. Bukovskis, O. Skarainis, J. Zariņš; architects – G. Memorial sculptures in Salaspils

St. Martin's Chapel is a former late Gothic charnel house to the south of Perchtoldsdorf church. The chapel, named in 1455, was rebuilt in 1512 by Master Georg from Vienna and is connected to the castle by a walkway. Until the 16th century, the remains of local residents buried in the small burial ground next to the church were kept here. The memorial to the victims of the two world wars has been housed here since 1953.

Statue of St. Michael as the finale of the war memorial built in the Jungend style in Röschitz. The Archangel Michael, made of sandstone, is depicted standing with knight's armour and lowered sword. The monument was built in 1920 by Franz Sautner.
