The shield-shaped ring plate features a recessed central field decorated with a left-facing rooster's head above a six-pointed flower. This is surrounded by a raised frame bearing an inscription and a border. The ring band is flat and D-shaped in cross-section, and is attached to the ring plate via cross profiling.
An inscription has been identified on the edges of the ring plate which could be described as a 'love inscription'. LIB / ANE / NDE.

Early-christian cross-slab attached to the wall of the enclosure surrounding the holy well dedicated to St. Mochulla, patron saint of the monastery of Tulla, Co. Clare. The medieval church & graveyard of Tulla was built on the site of the monastery founded by St. Mochulla in the 7th century. The cross-slab may have been removed from the monastic site in the 19th-century. Sandstone slab decorated with a cross pattée within a penannular circle, the ends of which curve inwards to form a spiral motif either side of an incised line running down the centre of the stone. Beneath the cross head there are double scrolls forming interlocking comma-shapes similar to the double pelta designs. The stem of the cross has an upturned crescent shaped base with spiral terminals. Similar in design to cross-slab (KE042-060008-) at Reask, Co. Kerry. Crescent-shaped temple ring. This is a piece of jewelry that hangs from a headdress or from the front of the hair braids on the side of the head. The right hook is bent sharply forward and the crescent-shaped pendant is slightly damaged at the edges. The decoration is partly executed in tremolo stitch. It is possible that the main motif represents a highly abstracted face. On the back is a rectangle applied using the same technique.
