The Milwaukee Road Depot was a train station in Minneapolis Minnesota, formerly known as the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad Company:
Station. It is designed in an Italianate style and was constructed from 1897 to 1899. The spire was destroyed in a storm in 1941 and no longer exists on the station which now operates as a hotel.

It was added to the NRHP in 1978.

The Nicolaus Copernicus Monument in Kraków, Poland was designed by sculptor Cyprian Godebski in 1899 and completed in 1900. It has become a landmark of the city, as it commemorates one of the most famous alumni of the Jagiellonian University of Kraków.

Nicolaus Copernicus (1473-1543) was a Renaissance scientist and scholar. His heliocentric model of the universe was revolutionary and contributed greatly to the emergence and development of modern science. He was an astronomer, mathematician, translator, physician, economist, and had a doctorate in canon law. A true polymath, or "Renaissance man", whose life and work has become a part of cultural heritage of the world.

The 3D model features the monument of Copernicus wearing a purple bowtie. It was put on it as a part of an artistic happening organized by the University’s students to promote upcoming Juvenalia, a yearly student festival celebrating youth culture, freedom of expression and creativity.

Statue of Polybios at the entrance ramp of the parliament building in the 1st district of Vienna. The statue was made in 1899 by Alois Düll.

Polybios was an ancient Greek historian who became famous for his main work, the partially preserved Historíai. In it he describes in originally 40 books the universal history of Rome over the period from the beginning of the First Punic War to the destruction of Carthage and Corinth.

Horse tamer at the bottom of the ramp of the Parliament in Vienna. The statue was created by sculptor Josef Lax in 1899 and erected in 1901. The four horse tamers are intended to symbolize the suppression of passion that is necessary for productive parliamentary cooperation.

Bronze lion on the Schemerl Bridge over the Danube Canal in the 19th district of Vienna. The bridge was built in 1894-1899 to the design of Otto Wagner and named after Joseph Maria Schemerl von Leythenbach, architect and hydraulic engineer. The two lions on the bridge were designed by Rudolf Weyr. The bridge also serves as a weir and, as part of the Nussdorf weir and lock system, regulates the inflow of Danube water into the Danube Canal.

3D model of the Marc Anton monument next to the Secession building in Vienna's 1st district. The large bronze sculpture from 1899/1900 is by Arthur Strasser, who created his work for the Paris World's Fair in 1900. It shows the Roman general and politician Marcus Antonius, comfortably reclined in a triumphal chariot. Antonius is dressed in a tunic and has a toga lying across his body. The chariot is pulled by a team of lions consisting of a male lion in the center and two lionesses. Next to the chariot is a led lioness, who nestles against the chariot with her eyes closed. During a bombing of Vienna on February 7, 1945, it was pierced by bomb fragments and restored in 1956.

LiDAR-based 3D documentation of a Muslim tombstone from the Ottoman-era cemetery of the Hala Sultan Tekke (Mosque of Umm Haram), on the shores of the Larnaca Salt Lake, Cyprus.

One of the most significant Islamic pilgrimage sites in the Mediterranean, the tekke is built around the tomb of Umm Haram bint Milhan, a companion of the Prophet Muhammad who died in Cyprus during the Arab raids of 647-649 CE. The mosque was completed in 1817 during Ottoman rule. The adjacent cemetery, closed to burials around 1899, contains the tombs of Ottoman administrators; its tombstones reflect the funerary epigraphy of Ottoman Cyprus. The site is on the UNESCO Tentative World Heritage List.

The two-masted schooner W.Y. Emery (102x22.9x10.2, 211 tons gross) was built in 1867 by George Dakin at Port Burwell, Ontario.

On September 19, 1899, W.Y. Emery departed Charlotte, NY with coal for Kingston. The following morning a gale swept across the lakes and the Emery was seen of Charlotte in distress. The tugboat William A. Proctor was dispatched to assist and found the Emery leaking badly at anchor off Bear Creek, NY. The crew was taken off the Emery shortly before the vessel foundered.

W.Y. Emery’s wreckage lies scattered over a wide area in shallow water east of Bear Creek, NY. Among the notable features in the debris field are these two anchors. Please note that shipwrecks and wreckage, including debris fields within National Marine Sanctuaries are protected by federal and state law.

Alphonse Gabriel Capone, sometimes known by the nickname "Scarface", was an American gangster and businessman who attained notoriety during the Prohibition era as the co-founder and boss of the Chicago Outfit from 1925 to 1931. His seven-year reign as a crime boss ended when he was imprisoned at the age of 33.

Capone showed signs of neurosyphilis early in his sentence and became increasingly debilitated before being released after almost eight years of incarceration. In 1947, he died of cardiac arrest after a stroke.
