Bronze gladiator's helmet. It has a grille of linked circles to protect the face, and a broad brim to protect the back and sides of the head. At the front of the helmet is a medallion of Hercules. Said to have been found in the gladiators' barracks at Pompeii. 

48.26 centimetres high.

Produced from 140 photographs taken by Professor Eric Poehler, UMass Amherst. The helmet was photographed on a workbench, without lights and no access to the interior.  It is therefore not top quality, but is useful for visualisation.

Matryoshka dolls also known as Babushka dolls, stacking dolls, nesting dolls, Russian tea dolls, or Russian dolls, are a set of wooden dolls of decreasing size placed one inside another. The name matryoshka, literally "little matron", is a diminutive form of Russian female first name "Matryona" or "Matryosha"

It is believed that the Russian wooden painted doll appeared in the 1890s, when the rapid economic and cultural development of the country was accompanied by national identity. In this period, an artistic direction known as the “Russian style” arose in Russia. The first sketches were developed by professional artist Sergey Malyutin (1859-1937), who actively promoted the “Russian style” in art. Savva Mamontov's wife presented the dolls at the Exposition Universelle in Paris in 1900, where the toy earned a bronze medal. Soon after, matryoshka dolls were being made in several places in Russia and shipped around the world.

This was something I created using either the official assets or excellent recreations of the original LockerGnome logo and Intellivision-style LockerGnome fonts to commemorate 30 years of Chris Pirillo's LockerGnome venture, which included the original namesake e-mail newsletter from 1996, the Gnomedex conventions from 2001 to sometime in the 2010s, the YouTube channel, the various iterations of live.pirillo.com, and Pirillo's overall gekky community that was cultivated over the past three decades.

LockerGnome 30th Anniversary Coin/Medallion

Apparatus portrait of King Carol I, head and bust in military tunic with military decorations, including the Order of the Crown of Romania. Ornate Rooster Medallion

This bust depicts Gheorghe Grigore Cantacuzino, one of Romania’s most influential political figures of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, known as “Nababul” for his immense wealth and social standing. Cantacuzino is portrayed in a richly detailed military‑style ceremonial uniform, complete with medals, decorations, and a sash that emphasizes his status and authority. His posture is upright and dignified, projecting confidence and gravitas. The sculptor pays particular attention to the facial features—strong cheekbones, a pronounced mustache, and a composed, forward‑looking gaze—capturing both the personality and the public image of the statesman.

Today, the statue is preserved and displayed at Cantacuzino Castle in Bușteni.

Polychrome bowl (red and black on yellow slip) with convex walls and base. Above and below the rim are two horizontal bands, one black and the other red, followed by a horizontal band of pseudo-glyphs painted in red. The decorated surface features two medallions placed on opposite sides of the wall, separated by vertical sets of three concentric circles. Each medallion contains the head of the god K’awil, painted in red and shown in left-facing profile.

Double-Sided Medallion | Lowpoly Fun Piece

Teotihuacan style incense burner  from the Pacific Coast of Guatemala. It features a bell-shaped lid with lateral handles, decorated with a human face framed within a circular medallion. It supports a reliquary figure (also called “guest” or “host”), representing an elderly man wearing a rounded headdress and skirt, with large Spondylus ear ornaments. The figure holds a severed trophy head, and on the chest a small opening with removable cover reveals the face of another individual wearing a decorated headdress. The base, is biconical and decorated with triangles forming a bow-tie motif.

Polychrome urn (black, orange, and white) with slightly curved, divergent walls and a pedestal base. It is decorated with a jaguar head in relief, featuring an open mouth displaying teeth and foreclaws. It is recommended to pin him in the water wheel room, since it has a broader area for movement, and less enemies to annoy the player.

Silent Hill 4: Victim 18

This is the negative press mold generated directly from the medallion relief for ceramic forming. 
It preserves the full Divyadvāra geometry as an inverted cavity, using the same 120×240 polar base and the same closed manifold topology, but transforms the positive relief into a manufacturable stamping volume through z inversion with floor thickness 0.5, wall clearance 0.08, and a slightly thicker support body. In the script, the mold is not sculpted by hand: it is computed from the finished relief, re-extruded, closed, and exported as a single watertight genus-0 mesh. The material logic is intentionally neutral, with a warm plaster-like grey gradient for readability. 
Verified mesh: 57,170 vertices, 114,336 faces, watertight, χ=2.
