Rhyolite is a ghost town in Nye County, in the U.S. state of Nevada. It is in the Bullfrog Hills, about 120 miles (190 km) northwest of Las Vegas, near the eastern edge of Death Valley. The town began in early 1905 as one of several mining camps that sprang up after a prospecting discovery in the surrounding hills. The figure from 1902 was designed by Josef Valentin Kassin and stood until 1973 in a flower arrangement in front of the theater. Then followed the transformation into a fountain.

Erato is one of the nine muses in Greek mythology. She is the muse of love poetry of lyricism, song and dance. She is a daughter of Zeus and Mnemosyne.

The Hygieia Fountain is a lead-cast statue fountain created by Johann Martin Fischer and erected in 1787 at public expense. It stands in the forecourt of the Josephinum (9th District, Währinger Straße 25).

The depiction of the goddess Hygieia—symbol of health—directly reflects the function of the building behind it, constructed between 1783 and 1785 as a training institution for physicians and military doctors and today housing, among other facilities, the Institute and Museum for the History of Medicine.

The central figure is a calm, classically inspired female statue dressed in antique-style drapery, standing on a high pedestal. In her left hand she holds a bowl from which a snake drinks, while another snake coils around her right arm—traditional attributes of Hygieia. The pedestal and octagonal basin are made of stone, while the basin railing and water spouts, designed as Medusa heads, are crafted from metal.

**Tyrannovenator viridispinus: A New Apex Predator from Mongolia**

In 2024, a joint Mongolian–Japanese expedition led by Dr. Ayako Sato uncovered a remarkably preserved theropod specimen in the Nemegt Basin. The Shell Fountain in the garden of Belvedere Palace in Vienna is an important work of early 18th-century Baroque garden art. The complex was built between 1700 and 1725 on behalf of Prince Eugene of Savoy. While Johann Lukas von Hildebrandt planned the palace buildings, French garden architect Dominique Girard designed the strictly symmetrical gardens based on the French model.

The fountain is located in the lower garden area and forms an important focal point of the Baroque axis. In the center are triton figures supporting a shell-shaped basin, which give the fountain its name. The mythological sea creatures symbolize the element of water, which in the Baroque period stood for vitality, movement, and princely representation.
