2021 Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4

This is an animation of an adult female **Great Hammerhead Shark** (Sphyrna mokarran) that was reconstructed from multiple cameras arranged around a dive in South Bimini, Bahamas in February 2020.  Casey Sapp coordinated all videography.  Kevin Davidson kindly contributed useful reference photos.

CG artist **Jer Bot** used the software Blender to align these camera views to reconstruct the accurate shape and color of **Nemesis** (PIT tag 900236000107365), which had an estimated length of 329 cm based on laser photogrammetry.  Nemesis commonly frequents dive spots near Bimini and is well-known to divers and scientists from the Bimini shark lab (www.biminisharklab.com).

The **ANGARI Foundation** (www.angari.org) coordinated and supported this research, along with Sean Williams, Ken Morton, Jonathan and Jameson Bayuk, Annabelle Brooks, and Vital Heim.

Model 73A - Great Hammerhead Shark

Angkor Wat is a temple complex in Cambodia and the largest religious monument in the world, with the site measuring 162.6 hectares (402 acres). It was originally constructed as a Hindu temple of god Vishnu for the Khmer Empire, gradually transforming into a Buddhist temple towards the end of the 12th century. It was built by the Khmer King Suryavarman II in the early 12th century in Yaśodharapura, the capital of the Khmer Empire, as his state temple and eventual mausoleum. Breaking from the Shaiva tradition of previous kings, Angkor Wat was instead dedicated to Vishnu. As the best-preserved temple at the site, it is the only one to have remained a significant religious centre since its foundation. The temple is at the top of the high classical style of Khmer architecture. It has become a symbol of Cambodia, appearing on its national flag, and it is the country's prime attraction for visitors.

This colossal statue of the Nile was found in 1513 in Campo Marzio where it was probably part of the decoration of the Iseo Campense, dedicated to the Egyptian deities Isis and Serapis. The river is shown as a venerable old man stretched out on his side with a cornucopia of fruit in his left arm and ears of wheat in his right hand. Egypt is represented by the presence of a sphinx. The scene is enlivened by sixteen children who allude to the sixteen cubits of water by which the Nile rises for its annual flood.

This bronze cast was made after a Roman marble statue in the Musei Vaticani, Rome and donated to the city of Copenhagen by the Albertina Foundation.

This is a 3D model  of a racer snake (Dolichophis jugularis) scanned using the Beastcam MACRO on a live snake in Cyprus. The mass of the snake is 479 grams. CG artist Jer Bot retopologized and reconstructed the snake in the open source 3D animation software Blender (blender.org). He did this through images captured using an array of six Canon G16 cameras and other reference photos. The construction of this model is part of the post-doc research of Dr. Savvas Zotos (POST-DOC/0916/0034) (https://retrack.terracypria.org) and is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and the Republic of Cyprus through the Research and Innovation Foundation. This 3D model will be used as a means for both studying and presenting the species movement and behavioural patterns.

Low Poly Male Base - Slender

The archaeological ensemble of Melque is one of the most important historical sites of the High Middle Ages in Spain. It is located in the municipality of San Martín de Montalbán, just 30 kilometers from the city of Toledo. It consists of a very well preserved church, a monastery, several dams and a fence or wall. However, there is no consensus among experts about the date of its foundation. Some authors date it in the seventh century, in Visigothic times, while others consider that it was founded in the eighth century by Mozarabs, that is to say by Christians but under Muslim domination. The place was inhabited for centuries which has allowed the preservation of the church in an excellent state to this day.

Documented by Global Digital Heritage in September of 2018 using 1110 drone images, 112 terrestrial laser scans, and 1702 terrestrial photogrammetry images. These data were processed in Reality Capture.

Santa María de Melque (Toledo, Spain)

This is an animation of subadult male Whale Shark (Individual TZ 209, "Mosi" Rhincodon typus) that was reconstructed from gopro footage based on dives with the shark nearby Mafia Island, Tanzania in November 2022. We thank Chris Rohner and Stephanie Venables for diving with us, and for providing footage and for generally supporting the work.

CG artists Johnson Martin and Aaron Olsen used the software Blender to align various gopro camera views to reconstruc thte body shape of this individual.  "Mosi" has been filmed previously along the Mafia coastline and is well known to divers there.

The Marine Megafauna Foundation (https://marinemegafauna.org/) coordinated and supported this research, and Jon Bayuk kindly supported funded construction of the model and other costs.

The data produced are optimised for game engines, making them easy to use for 3D content creation, including for games and exhibitions.

They are also freely distributed by the Foundation without licensing restrictions, meaning anyone is free to use the 3D data as-is, or modify it for their own purposes, commercial or otherwise.

Model 59A - Sling Tailed Agama

The Lion of Aspern is a war memorial created by Anton Dominik Fernkorn, which was erected in 1858 at Asperner Heldenplatz (today a district of Vienna). The sculpture is made of sandstone and commemorates the Austrian soldiers who died in the battle of Aspern.

Fernkorn created a larger-than-life sculpture of a lying, dying lion on a stone base with an oak leaf garland on a stone foundation. Between the front paws is a Napoleonic eagle, under the body an emperor's cloak, and on the left side of the body are field signs. The lion is pierced by a lance whose tip protrudes behind the left shoulder blade of the animal below the mane.

Nearly complete cranium, called "Zinj."  Cast made by the Wenner-Gren Foundation Casting Program at the University Museum of the University of Pennsylvania. Paranthropus boisei (2501.1rp74-1) - cranium

This is an feeding animation of a subadult male Manta Ray (“Skye” Mobula c.f. birostris, disk width of 2.5 m) that was reconstructed from a combination of drone, gopro, and other video imagery and morphometric data.  Note the twisting of the cephalic fins, which are used during feeding. Skye was filmed primarily while swimming off the coast of Palm beach, Florida.  Jessica Pate and her team with the Marine Megafauna Foundation (www.marinemegafauna.org) were instrumental for filming Skye and providing access to other data on Manta Rays.  The ANGARI Foundation (www.angari.org) and Angela Rosenberg coordinated and supported this research.  Jonathan Bayuk and Ken Morton kindly donated funding to enable this research.  CG artist Johnson Martin used the data provided to reconstruct and animate the model.

Australopithecus africanus (2501.1rp40)

This is a three-dimensional animation of an adult female Great White shark (*Carcharodon carcharias*) created in collaboration with the Save Our Seas Foundation. The 3D model was constructed as a composite adult female specimen from various open-access images and images and video provided by saveourseas (www.sharkcentre.com).

CG artist Johnson Martin used the images, video and morphometric data to reconstruct this model and the movement, with assistance from Josh Medina, Braedon Fedderson and Emma Hsiao. Funding for this project was provided by the Save Our Seas Foundation.  We thank Clova Mabin and James Lea for working with us on this project.

Model 92A - Great White Shark

This is a 3D model of a replica of the leaning tower of Pisa! This famous torre illustrates the most popular and characteristic monument of Pisa and I got it as a souvenir, when I visited Italy. This 3D model is a project built within the course of “Digitization Technologies, Techniques and Applications”. Leaning Tower of Pisa, alternatively “Italian Torre Pendente di Pisa” is a medieval freestanding bell tower, of the cathedral of the Italian city of Pisa, famous for the settling of its foundations, which caused it to lean 5.5 degrees (about 15 feet [4.5 metres]) from the perpendicular in the late 20th century. Extensive work was subsequently done to straighten the tower, and its lean was ultimately reduced to less than 4.0 degrees. The tower is included in the Piazza del Duomo UNESCO World Heritage Site, which was declared in 1987. Today, it is one of the most touristic attractions in Italy and a great site to take creative pictures.

This model is of the armored ankylosaurian ornithischian dinosaur *Euoplocephalus tutus* (AMNH FR 5405). The specimen was CT scanned at OhioHealth O'Bleness Hospital in Athens, Ohio, in 2005 as part of a research project, leading to publications in 2008 (http://bit.ly/2pp5V5C) and 2011 (http://bit.ly/2rCNCsT). This Sketchfab model was generated by Ryan Ridgely of WitmerLab and is derived from recent work done for the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History for a new interactive exhibit. Euoplocephalus - armored dinosaur skull

[**Museum Village Düppel**](https://bit.ly/3q58lnq) is a seasonal open-air museum. It presents visitors with a reconstruction of an approximately 800-year-old village. The site of this former settlement has now been reconstructed with residences, storehouses, workshops, fields and gardens.

1967 marked the start of archaeological excavations in southwest Berlin. They revealed evidence of building foundations and farmyards of a village from the period just before 1200. Thanks to experimental archaeology, it was possible to rebuild the medieval village on the settlement’s original site. The village has developed into a widely recognised centre for experimental archaeology.
