The theme I chose is Grandma's house. This grandma made her scottish highlands princess dreams come true. She loves seeing her animals being able to roam free in her garden, and she spends the rest of her quiet life enjoying the nature, good food, and beautiful flowers.

I had a lot of fun learning the ins and outs of 3D and blender this semester, and I'm really proud of how far I've come. Even though this project gave me some frustration, I learned so much. Modeling was all done in blender and Texturing in photoshop.

DAE Diorama - Grandma's House

Eilean Donan (Scottish Gaelic: Eilean Donnain) is a small tidal island situated at the confluence of three sea lochs (Loch Duich, Loch Long and Loch Alsh) in the western Highlands of Scotland, about 1 kilometre (5⁄8 mi) from the village of Dornie. It is connected to the mainland by a footbridge that was installed early in the 20th century and is dominated by a picturesque castle that frequently appears in photographs, film and television. The island's original castle was built in the thirteenth century; it became a stronghold of the Clan Mackenzie and their allies, the Clan MacRae. However, in response to the Mackenzies' involvement in the Jacobite rebellions early in the 18th century, government ships destroyed the castle in 1719. The present-day castle is Lieutenant-Colonel John Macrae-Gilstrap's 20th-century reconstruction of the old castle. [wiki]

Miniature Zoomorphic Bird Effigy Vessel

Finely worked anthropomorphic figurine carved from quartz. The head, exhibiting clear Olmec traits, appears not to correspond to the body, whose standing pose with hands joined at the front is highly atypical. Even the color of the stone and its degree of transparency differ between the two parts. The figure wears a garment resembling a long robe tied at the waist with a cord. The Cultural Property Registry classifies this piece as originating from the Highlands and dating to the Classic period; however, if only the head (apparently genuine) is considered, it would likely date to a much earlier time.

The forelegs, facial features, and body with a protruding abdomen are clearly articulated. A functional opening indicates its use as a jar for the storage of liquids. Jaguar Effigy vessel

A double-chambered, zoomorphic whistle in the shape of a bird standing on its feet. It has two small wing-like protrusions; a round head with a tubular, grooved beak; two small, applied balls for eyes; and a small horizontal crest with a pinched edge. The blowing nozzle is located in the beak. Air passes from one chamber to the other, producing sound as the piece is moved from side to side while blowing. Its sound is similar to that of a bird that has been heard in the highlands of Sacatepéquez, Guatemala, but has not yet been identified.

Urn with Solar Deity K’inich

Chamá style polychrome vase with a composite silhouette, decorated with a procession of four warriors in left profile and painted black. All of them dressed with feathers and carrying spears. Each character is associated with a vertical secondary text, with glyphs painted white and outlined in black. Paste analysis by NAA indicates a possible place of manufacture in the areas around Chamá, Chixoy, and highlands of the  Motagua River Valley. Stylistically it is related to the Alta Verapaz region, between Chamá and Nebaj, Quiché.

Chamá Vase with Warriors

Rectangular ceramic box with lid. The lid is decorated with an anthropomorphic figure in relief, possibly a warrior, wearing a helmet in the form of a feline (jaguar) head with open jaws. The full-body figure is rendered using modeling and appliqué techniques. The box bears the image of a knot in relief, with pendant volutes. Traces of white stucco remain. Box with Man in Jaguar Attire

Mare Moscoviense ("Sea of Moscow") is a lunar mare that sits in the Moscoviense basin. It is one of the very few maria on the far side of the Moon. Like Mare Marginis, this mare appears to be fairly thin. However, it is clearly centered within a large impact basin. It is also much lower than either the outer basin floor or the farside highlands.
At the center of the basin (or the southwest portion of the mare) is a mascon, or gravitational high.

Vase with slightly divergent walls and a flat base, coated with an orange slip and decorated with incised designs. A band of pseudo glyphs runs below the rim, while opposite sides of the vessel feature panels with a jaguar head in profile, interspersed with scroll motifs. The vase dates to the Late Classic period and is possibly from the Guatemalan Highlands.
