Haytor, also known as Haytor Rocks, Hay Tor, or occasionally Hey Tor, is a granite tor on the eastern edge of Dartmoor in the English county of Devon. Near the village of Haytor Vale in the parish of Ilsington. There is an electoral ward with the same name.

Haytor is now considered a natural beauty spot and is arguably Dartmoor's most famous landmark, popular with coach parties and walking groups. It is easily accessible by road and at a height of 457 metres (1,499 ft) right on the eastern side of the moor, it provides excellent views of the coastline, the Teign Estuary and the rolling countryside between, with the ridge of Haldon behind. The smaller, western outcrop is sometimes known as "Lowman". Rock climbers make use of both outcrops; each one has routes of varying difficulty.

Haytor Rocks 3D Reconsrtuction

Red Rocks Amphitheatre is a rock structure near Morrison, Colorado, 10 miles (16 km) west of Denver, where concerts are given in the open-air amphitheatre. There is a large, tilted, disc-shaped rock behind the stage, a huge vertical rock angled outwards from stage right, several large outcrops angled outwards from stage left and a seating area for up to 9,525 people in between. At its height, the amphitheatre sits at 6,450 feet, and the surrounding Red Rocks Park covers 868 acres. The amphitheater is owned and operated by the City and County of Denver, Colorado and is located in Red Rocks Park, part of the Denver Mountain Parks system.

Mexican Hat is a census-designated place on the San Juan River on the northern edge of the Navajo Nations borders in south-central San Juan County, Utah, United States.

The name "Mexican Hat" comes from a curiously sombrero-shaped rock outcropping on the northeast edge of town; the rock measures 60-foot (18 m) wide by 12-foot (3.7 m). The "Hat"' has two rock climbing routes ascending it. It has frequently been noted on lists of unusual place names.

The model was built from approximately 500 images using Agisoft Metashape, capturing the full geometry and surface detail of the rock formation.

Panari Outcrop – Photogrammetric 3D Model

A largish outcrop with only two small decorated areas, this carving took a lot of time to locate under the covering over fallen autumn chesnut leaves.  It comprises two very rare representations of an axe type with a curved blade.  This is a type not found amongst any other of the roughly three hundred thousand engravings througout Valcamonica.

Mossy Outcrop 01

Gypsum that was deposited during the Messinian salinity crisis. In the center of the outcrop a well-developed nucleation cone is visible, made of individual selenite gypsum cristals up to 30 cm long which radiate upwards and outwards. Cuevas de Sorbas (a few meters from the cave entrance), Andalusia, Spain. Lat 37˚05‘19.42’‘N, Lon 2˚06‘27.68’‘W, elevation 340 m.

Gypsum nucleation cone, Spain

A large, shield-shaped, domed outcrop on the Urlar Estate to the S of Craig Hill and E of Hill Park.  This model shows the central portion of the rock.
The entire outcrop is covered in a complex array of rock art motifs, some of which can be viewed directly in the field in good light conditions.  However, the 3D model brings out far more detail than is now directly visible.

Created using 300 oblique images (sampled from a video) at 50m above the peak of the rocks.

The tor is at grid reference SX757770, near the village of Haytor Vale in the parish of Ilsington. There is an electoral ward with the same name. The population at the 2011 census is 2,862. Haytor has the form of a typical "avenue" tor, where the granite between the two main outcrops has been eroded away. Its characteristic shape is a notable landmark visible on the skyline from many places in south Devon between Exeter and Totnes.
