Pirene or Peirene is the name of a fountain or spring in Greek mythology, physically located in Corinth. It was said to be a favored watering-hole of Pegasus, sacred to the Muses. Poets would travel there to drink and receive inspiration.

In the 2nd century CE the traveler Pausanias describes Pirene as follows:

On leaving the market-place along the road to Lechaeum you come to a gateway, on which are two gilded chariots, one carrying Phaethon the son of Helius, the other Helius himself. A little farther away from the gateway, on the right as you go in, is a bronze Heracles.

Peirene Fountain, Corinth - Greece

Bronze gladiator's helmet. It has a grille of linked circles to protect the face, and a broad brim to protect the back and sides of the head. At the front of the helmet is a medallion of Hercules. Said to have been found in the gladiators' barracks at Pompeii. 

48.26 centimetres high.

Produced from 140 photographs taken by Professor Eric Poehler, UMass Amherst. The helmet was photographed on a workbench, without lights and no access to the interior.  It is therefore not top quality, but is useful for visualisation.

Author Hans Christian Andersen, known as H.C. in Denmark, has been immortalized next to Copenhagen's City Hall. 
Already in 1936 there was a proposal for a statue of Hans Christian Andersen on the City Hall square. 
In 1937 Utzon-Frank won a competition for a memorial for the poet. 
However, the statue was not finished by the artist's death in 1955, and it was Luckow-Nielsen who has taken over.

Hello, I made this Low-poly PSLV-C40,sculpted and retopoed with 3ds Max, textured with Substance Painter.(PSLV-C40 was the 42nd mission of the Indian Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle program in the XL configuration) Hope you liked it!

PSLV C40

The 3D model presents a historical mannequin (a dress form) dating to 1900s. The virtual mannequin was generated automatically by using a new method of parametric modelling (for further details see https://doi.org/10.1108/IJCST-06-2019-0093). The values of body measurements were taken from a sizing table. The measurements are: bust – 81.4 cm; waist – 51.4 cm; hip – 92.4 cm. 3D scans I used to dress a 3D environment I made for school in Unreal Engine.

Found really cool looking Angels statues here on sketchfab that were free to download. Having to create a lot of assets in a very amount of time, I just decimated them Zbrush and cringely unwrapped them. I baked these decimated meshes and textured them in Substance to have more optimized meshes and not break performance in Engine.
Even tho they're really not the best, I think they could be useful to people also wanting to use these scans for a realtime scene. Since I got the scans for free, they're here for anyone willing to use them!

free Angels Statues - Retopoed (kinda)

The 3D model presents a digital twin of a theatrical costume for Glafira Alekseevna in the play “Wolves and Sheep” (1875) by A.N. Ostrovsky. The costume was modelled by using historical block patterns, 2D scans of textile materials and 3d scans of contemporary actors. Anthroscan, Clo3D, 3dsMax, PixPaint and SubstancePainter software programs were applied. A hand made styled ninja sword code named Phoenix Feather due to the deep red and sharp feather motif. 
refining work on my katanas and this one is bird themed.

The collection of the Art Department at the Tatra Museum in Zakopane includes two cameras belonging to Mieczysław Karłowicz – an outstanding composer, unsurpassed mountaineer, skier and photographer.  The composer purchased the presented object in 1909 after the success of his symphonic poem Odwieczne pieśni (Eternal songs) at the Warsaw Philharmonic. 
The composer’s new photographic equipment is a so-called travel camera for 13x18 cm film. The camera weighed less than 2 kilograms, and the bellows with the front standard and the lens were supported on two rails and thus, when folded, the whole set did not take up a lot of space (23 x 21.5 x 7 cm).

This is an imperial age marble Roman copy from an original Hellenistic statue dated II century B.C.
The statue has been located in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence since 1669.
This artwork represents the life size statue of a sleeping Hermaphroditus, son of Hermes and Aphrodite.
According to the Latin poet Publius Ovidius Naso, Hermaphroditus was a handsome guy who was transformed into an androgynous form after a supernatural union with the water nymph Salmacis. The nymph Salmacis fell in love with him but was not returned, so she prayed the gods to physically join him along with her traits inside his body.
Hermaphroditus lived the rest of his life both as a man and as a woman, feeling the two sexes at the same time.

Traditional representation of a cow, powerfully linked to Sugawara no Michizane, japanese poet and politician from the 9th century (Heian Period of Japan). If you want to learn more about this character, I found an interesting japanese blog that wrote [about him](http://kansai-odyssey.com/sugawara-no-michizane-japans-famous-scholar/) .

At the Michizane funerals, the cow pulled the coffin of Michizane. Possessed by his spirit, the cow then layed down during the procession, at the place where he wanted his soul to rest.

# A Book Of Poems

I wrote a little poem, and created an immersive visualisation for it on the next page. No intricate backstories this time.

I wanted to try a shadless model, so it took some fiddling around and texture baking, but it was fun.

A Book Of Poems

Fountain basin with Muse Erato in Baden near Vienna. This fountain with the lyre-playing Muse Erato is located on Theaterplatz. The figure from 1902 was designed by Josef Valentin Kassin and stood until 1973 in a flower arrangement in front of the theater. Then followed the transformation into a fountain.

Erato is one of the nine muses in Greek mythology. She is the muse of love poetry of lyricism, song and dance. She is a daughter of Zeus and Mnemosyne.
