Russian archipelago frigate Svjatoi Nikolai

Hemmema (Hämeenmaa) Styrbjörn was one of the newest and strongest ships to take part in the war between Sweden and Russia 1788-1790. Launched in the spring of 1790 alongside its sister ships Hjalmar and Starkotter, it was the largest archipelago fleet frigate in Sweden and the flagship of the Swedish line in the second battle of Svensksund (Ruotsinsalmi). This ship type is very similar to ocean-going frigates and the Russian Aleksandr class in armament, size and rigging, allthough this ship in particular had larger 36-pounders on the main deck.

Swedish Hemmema Styrbjörn

King Gustav III of of Sweden took part in the archipelago fleet battles in 1789-1790 traveling with the fleet. He had two vessels, the larger schooner Amphion and a small yacht Amadis. This yacht was designed by F. H. Chapman. It is similar to other single mast relay and signal boats used by the Swedish archipelago fleet. King Gustav III was on board Amadis just behind the frigates at line of battle at the start of the battle. The Amadis had a single main mast with main, gallant and top, gavel behind and bowsprit and flysprit in bow.

Chinese Junk Inspired Boat with Sails, Paddles

This model was generated from 151 images taken with Go Pro Hero 9 using the Agisoft Software at low resolution. The site is situated at Maltraeth Sands, Anglesey, and is believed to tbe the bow section of the Athena, a 369gt wooden brig built in 1840. At time of loss on 20 December 1852, the vessel was reported to belong to Candia (Heraklion, Crete). The master was Capt. George H. Colscundi. The ATHENA was bound from Alexandria in Egypt to Liverpool, and was freighted by Cassvotti, Brothers & Co., with 3000 Ardoles New Sardi beans. Part of the cargo was saved, in damaged state, along with sails and other materials. The Llanddwyn lifeboat saved the 12 members of the crew. The brig had broken up by Christmas Eve. Local people were employed in gathering up the cargo of beans, which has spread along the coast, into heaps ready to be taken away by cart. I am more than happy to present to you Omega type jacht that I did some time ago.
This type of jacht was developed by Juliusz Sieradzki in 1942. Is still very popular, especially for regattas or traveling purposes (yeah you can make a tent with the horisontal part of the mast spar afaik).
The model that you can see is not perfect copy of Omega that you might seen on the lake one day, but it keeps most important aspects of it.
By this I mean that:
- lenght, width, height,
- general shape of boat,
- areas of sails,
- dimensions of mast,
- shape of drop keel,
are as on Omega.
And yes, its free, just put me in credits in your awesome work!
The model is separated in parts, for texturing purposes. For best use, I recommend to just attach textures in blender, (names will allow for automatic Principled BSDF setup), and after this just join model to one piece.
