( FREE ) Lamborghini Terzo Millennio

This 3D data of Kokura Castle was made using photogrammetry. This is Avatta's first attempt in using drones to make high quality 3D architectural scan. We have photographed over 1500 images from all directions and the data was processed using Agisoft Photoscan. 

Kokura Castle of Kitakyushu, Japan was built by Hosokawa Tadaoki in 1602. It was the property of the Ogasawara clan (from Harima) between 1632 and 1860. The castle was burnt down in 1866 in the war between the Kokura and Chōshū clans.

Mori Ogai was based at the castle at the turn of the 19th-20th century when it was a military base.
The keep was reconstructed in 1959, and the castle was fully restored in 1990. The Matsumoto Seicho museum and castle garden were opened in 1998. The old Japanese-style pre-Brunton lighthouse from Shirasu is in the castle grounds.

It also permits you to view the Bones weight, or the part of the model that is affected by a particular bone. This is the Hardy Tree in [St Pancras Old Church](https://goo.gl/9AiihJ), Camden, London, UK ([OSM](https://goo.gl/ydVXeA)). The tree was reportedly planted by the author Thomas Hardy and the roots are embedded in pile of gravestones.

The point cloud is a combination of a RIEGL VZ-400 scan and a ZEB-REVO (to get detail around the gravestones). This is a "Walfie" version of a vtuber [Gawr Gura](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCoSrY_IQQVpmIRZ9Xf-y93g) from Hololive English. This model was made as fan-art, and was given to her to act as a fun 3d Avatar.  The design was made by @walfieee on Twitter.
I am providing a public download to the model for the Hololive Community of fan-animators, fan-game creators, modders, etc. to create awesome stuff with!

I approve of anyone using the model to make animations, fan-games, port it to other programs, create mods, etc. As long as you a considerate and make sure it stays within Hololive [Fan Work Guidelines.](https://en.hololive.tv/terms)
You can make adjustments to the models: rigging, fixing topology, making the model generally function better and adding fun things like outfits and such.

Smol(ler) Gura - Gawr Gura, HoloMyth

Robert Stephenson's 0-2-2 locomotive [Rocket](https://collection.sciencemuseum.org.uk/objects/co8084947/stephensons-rocket-steam-locomotive) from the [Science Museum Group Collection](http://collection.sciencemuseum.org.uk/).  

Manufactured in 1829 by Robert Stephenson and Company in Newcastle, close to today’s Newcastle Central railway station, Rocket won the famous [Rainhill Trials](https://www.railwaymuseum.org.uk/objects-and-stories/rocket-rainhill-and-rise-locomotive)  to become the fastest locomotive of its time thanks to its innovative design.

This 3D model of Rocket was produced using 22 high resolution LIDAR scans and over 2,500 detailed photographs taken in May 2018. More information on how the Science Museum Group worked with [ScanLAB](https://scanlabprojects.co.uk/) to create the model can be found  in the [Science Museum Group Digital Lab website](https://lab.sciencemuseum.org.uk/scanning-stephensons-rocket-40916fdb4d20).

Of Planes and Satellites

A by-product of working with the [OpenData repository of the city of Paris](https://opendata.paris.fr/explore/?sort=modified): here **public lights** (bottom layer, orange-ish) and **trees** (top layer, multicolor).

Both datasets have an information on the objects height, which were superimposed to a Digital Elevation Model of Paris, interpolated in python from [**SRTM** data](https://www2.jpl.nasa.gov/srtm/) (Z-scale overly exagerated). The lights were colored according to their light temperature (available in the dataset), while the 25 most common kinds of trees were colored by species.

The resulting point cloud gives pretty interesting patterns (some of which I've annotated), especially in cemeteries and on the biggest streets. Too bad most of the public parks don't have associated tree data...

A collection of lowpoly (1500 triangles each) birds, reprocessed in blender from Sketchfab 3D scans and models (have a look at my [other similar assets](https://skfb.ly/6AQyA), or at [this blog post](https://blog.sketchfab.com/tutorial-low-poly-assets-from-3d-scans) to know more about the process I used).

Not all of them turned out as I had hoped (because of poor original meshes), and I had to cut some birds legs not to spend too much time removing the supports (branches, rocks...), but I'm still quite happy with the result.

A .fbx as well as a .blend are available in the archive, along with a "credits" file in which you will find all the links to the original models. Most of the original assets come from [darwinmuseum.ru](https://sketchfab.com/darwinmuseum.ru) and [Innovation Studio](https://sketchfab.com/cmp_innovation_studio) though, so thanks to them!

The Great Chamber at The Charterhouse, London.
It was created as a grand second floor space by Sir Edward North in the mid 16th Century. Queen Elizabeth I stayed at The Charterhouse for five days in 1558 and the early meetings of her Privy Council were almost certainly held in the Great Chamber.

Later The Chaterhouse was bought by Thomas Howard (The Duke of Norfolk) and was also known as Howard House. The Duke of Norfolk redecorated the Great Chamber and installed the chimneypiece, ceiling and north west window bay in the 1570s.

Most of the ceiling was destroyed in a fire in 1941. The part in the window bay is original whereas the rest is a 1950s replica.

The Charterhouse Great Chamber

Qumran is an archaeological site in the West Bank managed by Israel's Qumran National Park. It is located on a dry plateau about 1.5 km (1 mi) from the northwestern shore of the Dead Sea, near the Israeli settlement and kibbutz of Kalya. The Hellenistic period settlement was constructed during the reign of John Hyrcanus, 134–104 BCE or somewhat later, and was occupied most of the time until it was destroyed by the Romans in 68 CE or shortly after. It is best known as the settlement nearest to the Qumran Caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were hidden, caves in the sheer desert cliffs and beneath, in the marl terrace. The principal excavations at Qumran were conducted by Roland de Vaux in the 1950s, though several later unearthings at the site have since been carried out.
