When the Nazis came to power in Germany (1933), they decided to use the Olympic Games in 1936 for propaganda purposes. With these plans in mind, Adolf Hitler ordered the construction of a great sports complex in Grunewald named the "Reichssportfeld" with a totally new Olympiastadion. 

The capacity of the Olympiastadion reached 110,000 spectators. It also possessed a special stand for Adolf Hitler and his political associates. Author Hans Christian Andersen, known as H.C. in Denmark, has been immortalized next to Copenhagen's City Hall. 
Already in 1936 there was a proposal for a statue of Hans Christian Andersen on the City Hall square. 
In 1937 Utzon-Frank won a competition for a memorial for the poet. 
However, the statue was not finished by the artist's death in 1955, and it was Luckow-Nielsen who has taken over.

The military airfield of Saceruela (Ciudad Real) was built during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939) by the Republican Army to provide aerial coverage to the Extremadura Front. It is one of the most important airfields in the province of Ciudad Real. In the 3D model you can see two of the buildings that were built to house the personnel of the airfield and to repair the aircraft. There is also an enormous bunker under the subsoil, intended to serve as a refuge in the event of an attack by enemy aviation. This bunker was designed to withstand the impact of bombs of up to 100 kilograms and, as can be seen in the 3D model, had its two entrances next to the two buildings on the surface, in order to facilitate a quick escape from its occupants.

Cast is based on descriptions, photographs, sketches, and reconstructions by Davidson Black and Franz Weidenreich.  Formerly classified as Sinanthropus pekinensis and Homo erectus pekinensis. "The Bromo Seltzer Arts Tower, originally The Emerson Tower, has been a Baltimore landmark since its construction in 1911 and was the tallest building in Baltimore at the time. This historic structure...was modeled after the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, Italy.  The tower was designed by Joseph Evans Sperry and built by Captain Isaac Emerson...The most interesting feature is the still-functioning tower clock, the face of which displays the word BROMO-SELTZER instead of numbers. Designed by Seth Thomas in 1911, it was the largest four-dial gravity-driven non-chiming clock in the world...The original tower was topped by a 51-foot revolving replica of the blue Bromo-Seltzer bottle, which was illuminated with 596 lights and could be seen 20 miles away. Due to structural concerns, the bottle was removed in 1936."

Bismarck was the first of two Bismarck-class battleships built for Nazi Germany's Kriegsmarine. Named after Chancellor Otto von Bismarck, the ship was laid down at the Blohm & Voss shipyard in Hamburg in July 1936 and launched in February 1939. Work was completed in August 1940, when she was commissioned into the German fleet. Bismarck and her sister ship Tirpitz were the largest battleships ever built by Germany, and two of the largest built by any European power.

A 3D model of my vintage bicycle from 1936.I rigged it using Drivers. You can rotate the big gear on the local x axis to move the chain and can also steer the handlebar with rotating the steering empty on its local z axis.

A four-string gusle – złóbcoki (gęśliki) – formerly the essential instrument of every highlander band. They were made of a single piece of wood. They have a navicular shape and a narrow resonating body with a neck. They terminate in a pin chamber with a head in the shape of a long-haired highlander’s head. The instrument was made of a piece of sycamore wood; the additions are made of ebony wood.
The gusle on display was made by Stanisław Czepiel (born in 1936) – the last luthier in the Pieniny region, a graduate of the Conductors School at the Academy of Music in Kraków, a musician and luthier.

Gusle

Built in Auckland in 1884, the steam tug Awhina served a long career in Albany, notably supporting the 1914 ANZAC fleet and saving the steamer Castlemoor from fire in 1928. After being stripped for scrap, the vessel was towed to Ledge Bay and burned on April 19, 1936, leaving its boiler and robust timber framing as a permanent fixture of the coastline. The site remains a rare example of 19th-century New Zealand shipbuilding, characterized by the reinforced construction required for heavy-duty maritime towing.
