The battle of Kyiv was part of the Kyiv offensive in the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine for control of Kyiv, the capital city of Ukraine, and surrounding districts. The combatants were elements of the Russian Armed Forces and Ukrainian Ground Forces. The battle lasted from 25 February 2022 to 2 April 2022 and ended with the withdrawal of Russian forces.

After the start of the Invasion, the already strong military industry of the Empire began to receive increased funding. Production lines and technology got a boost, quality control was also increased. Innovation, however, affected not only the advanced developments, but also the ‘workhorses’, such as the fighter ‘Dvergr’. The training fighter got a new polymer lining, more efficient engine and even air conditioning in the cockpit. And all this without increasing the cost! ‘Dvergr’ remains as reliable and unpretentious, as it was before.

Boadiam Castle is a 14th-century moated castle near Robertsbridge in East Sussex, England. It was built in 1385 by Sir Edward Dalyngrigge, a former knight of Edward III, with the permission of Richard II, ostensibly to defend the area against French invasion during the Hundred Years' War. Of quadrangular plan, Bodiam Castle has no keep, having its various chambers built around the outer defensive walls and inner courts. Its corners and entrance are marked by towers, and topped by crenellations. Its structure, details and situation in an artificial watery landscape indicate that display was an important aspect of the castle's design as well as defence. It was the home of the Dalyngrigge family and the centre of the manor of Bodiam.

Krzyżtopór (Polish pronunciation: [kʂɨʂˈtɔpur]) is a castle located in the village of Ujazd, Iwaniska commune, Opatów County, Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It was originally built by a Polish nobleman and Voivode of Sandomierz, Krzysztof Ossoliński (1587–1645). The castle was partially destroyed during the Swedish invasion known as The Deluge in 1655, and then reduced to ruin during the war of the Bar Confederation by the Russians in 1770.  wikipedia

Martello Tower (DU005-033) No. 10 on Shenick's Island, inside a promontory fort (DU005-116), 1km east of the north Dublin coastline protecting the strand at Skerries, Fingal.  Red Island Martello Tower No. 11 (DU005-018) visible 1.6km to the NW,  Drumanagh Martello Tower No. 9 (DU008-006003) stands 3.7km to the south. One of 12 ordnance towers constructed to the north of Dublin Bay in 1804 by Colonel Benjamin Fisher of the Royal Engineers in order to defend the Dublin coastline from a French Naval invasion during the Napoleonic Wars (1803-15). Two storey high circular shaped rubble built tower covered with a lime render. Tower was entered through a 1st floor doorway on the landward side accessed by an external ladder protected by a projecting machicolation.  The gun platform supported a 24-pounder cannon enclosed by a parapet wall carried on a cut stone string course. The doorway in the south wall of Stonecarthy Church. Carrigan (1905) dates the south wall to centuries before the Norman invasion.
The church must have had a more impressive western doorway, judging from the beautifully carved sandstone door jamb fragments re-built into the walls (mostly west wall) and scattered around the church. Carrigan counted 12 of them, I didn't count them at all.

Stoneycarthy Church: Doorway

Lucina is a playable child character and the tritagonist from Fire Emblem Awakening. She is the future daughter of Chrom. Early on in Awakening, she appears as a masked swordsman under the alias of Marth.

Lucina is the daughter of Chrom, born sometime after the Plegia-Ylisse War and a few months before the Valmese invasion. Due to the death of her aunt Emmeryn, Chrom succeeded her as the new Exalt of Ylisse, making Lucina the Crown Princess. As proof of her heritage, she bears the Brand of the Exalt on her left eye.

The west part, especially the west gable of this church with its antae, the straight door lintel with the "Maltese" cross above and the granite ashlars, date back to the 10th or 11th century before the invasion of the Normans. The original size of the church can still be seen by where the roof ended. The east gable was turned into a chancel screen and the church extended east by the chancel with a new east window. The side chapel was also added later. The church is National Monument no. 77.

The term "anti-materiel" typically refers to firearms that fire larger caliber rounds like 12.7x108mm or .50 BMG, designed to destroy objects such as satellite dishes, water towers, and lightly armored vehicles rather than personnel. These firearms often have rounds that carry an explosive or incendiary payload. The DShK 1938 is a Soviet heavy machine gun that can be vehicle-mounted, used on a tripod, or placed on a wheeled carriage as a heavy infantry machine gun. Its name comes from its original designers, Vasily Degtyaryov and Georgi Shpagin. While the DShK is not intended to be an anti-material rifle, a person in Ukraine modified one into a handheld weapon, which appears unusual due to its oversized muzzle.

Vitalstatistix is one proud Gaulish chief... too proud you could say... up himself even! Take "Asterix in Belgium" for instance. The Romans quote Julius Caesar as saying that the Belgians are the bravest of all the Gaulish peoples. KYLE — WARRIOR OF DEATH

The private house where 69-year-old Grigory lived after USSR collapsed and he lost his job at the Chernihiv factory, where he worked as an engineer. He moved to the village of Skorinets to enjoy his retirement, growing wine and tobacco. After the russian invasion, Ukrainian soldiers held the village, slept and stored ammunition in his house. In mid-March 2022, a rocket hit Grigory's house, part of the ammunition exploded, 1 soldier died and 3 were injured.

This is a World of Warcraft: Legion fan art piece I created for the Forsaken Royal Apothecary Society lab in the Undercity. With Sylvannas as the new War Cheif of the Horde, the Royal Apothecary Society has been given an opportunity to redeem itself in the eye's of the Horde after their betrayal at Wrathgate. 

This is the labratory where the Royal Apothecary Society works to design a special demon plague, fatal only to demons, for use against the demons in the imminent legion invasion.
