The paper explores the concept of letting surgical stuff train in a virtual operating setting.
This is one of several general ORs in the Charité Campus Mitte (CCM), scanned in 2018. Shot with Nikon D3400 (500 images), reconstructed in Metashape, refined in Blender.

This does not look really impressive so far, but the technique seems to work fine and I guess that further experiments could only make for some future nicer models !

Note that using transparency planes (3 x 225 in this case!) is quite resource-intensive, and the model might only work fine on desktop.

Fluffy Cloud

Given the recent scientific news and the fact that I'm on the "experimenting with volumetrics" path, I figured out that trying to reproduce space objects with simple force-driven particle simulation could be a fun exercise. Here are some first tests !

This object was made by moving 1000 particles around (rigid body rotation initial speed, one central repulsive force and two attractive ones), and "registering" their paths in an alpha voxels grid (225x225x225), which I finally mapped to textured planes for the volumetric effect.

A final central sphere was used with refraction parameters to create the center "black hole".

Might be resource intensive, sorry for that !

A 3D model inspired by the The Vast Land / [A Thousand Li of Rivers and Mountains](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wang_Ximeng),  by Wang ximeng, a painter of the Norther Song dynasnty, China. Painted in 1113, Wang Ximeng was only 18 years old when he painted the master piece. To the disappointment of everyone, including the artist Emperor Huizong, who personally taught him, Wang Ximeng died shortly after, depriving us of any further masterpieces. The painting is now in Palace Musuem Beijin, and was influiential for many generations to come!

Made in Houdini and textured in Blender.

There is a lot that can be done to the window, but I think this is a good starting point.

Durante el pasado SEMA Show 2014, celebrado en Las Vegas, Ringbrothers (web) presentó su último proyecto, un Chevrolet Chevelle de 1966 con un motor LS7 V8 con un compresor volumétrico con el que consigue rendir una potencia de 980 CV, aunque en su lateral se puede ver una placa en la que indica 1KHP (1 King HorsePower) haciendo relación a los 1.000 CV.

This is a one-stroke cross-shaped knot domain transformed into a closed tubular mesh with woven crossings and verified topology. 
Generated, not hand-modeled: the Celtic Cross starts as a gate-constrained one-stroke path on a 30-grid cross domain, then becomes a Catmull–Rom ribbon and a 10-sided tube via parallel-transport framing and z-lift weaving. 
Its unique mechanism is a ring inscribed into four arms, with knotwork continuously filling both the circle and the axial cross
The generator builds it as a circular ring inscribed in a four-arm cross, then fills both the ring and the arms with continuous knotwork so the form reads as one braided spatial system. 
In 3D, the Celtic Cross gains a strong ceremonial mass: the central ring stabilizes the object while the four arms extend as balanced directional axes, giving the piece the presence of a carved ritual sign translated into full volumetric topology.

**Quintic Fermat CY3 Flux** is a computational 3D visualization of the classical Fermat quintic Calabi–Yau threefold, one of the most iconic spaces in string theory compactification. 
The original object is defined by the equation (x₀⁵ + x₁⁵ + x₂⁵ + x₃⁵ + x₄⁵ = 0) in complex projective space (CP⁴), with Hodge numbers (h^{1,1}=1) and (h^{2,1}=101). 
In this interpretation, the higher-dimensional manifold is translated into a readable 3D flux structure through the PAPP methodology, using multi-strand volumetric tubes to suggest internal resonance, connectivity, and curvature. Rather than claiming to be the literal manifold itself, this object acts as a geometric artifact inspired by the quintic’s role in mirror symmetry, enumerative geometry, and 10D→4D compactification physics.

Quintic Fermat CY3 Flux | PAPP

Sunflower Phyllotaxis Ultra is a biomorphic “flux geometry” built from Vogel’s phyllotaxis model (optimal seed packing). 

Seed centers follow the golden-angle spiral: θ = n·137.508° (= 360°/φ²) and r = c√n, then lifted onto a 3D parabolic bowl z = 0.015 r². 

Each of the 1,200 seeds is connected to its 6 nearest neighbors (KDTree), but connections are not simple lines: every link is a volumetric Flux Tube composed of 6 twisted strands (twist rate 8) to create cable-like density. 

Fibonacci spiral families become visible (21/34/55 …) as emergent structure. 

This is a line-based OBJ (l primitives) with embedded vertex colors (emerald→cyan→gold index gradient), generated entirely by mathematics—no hand modeling. But i played with the hue for effect on this site.

Stats: 526,050 vertices / 505,008 edges, file ~31.5 MB.

**Kummer Surface K3 Flux** is a computational 3D visualization inspired by the Kummer surface, a classical K3 example obtained by resolving the quotient (T⁴/(±1)). 
In mathematics, the Kummer construction is known for its singular quotient structure and its 16 exceptional curves introduced through resolution. 
This object translates that logic into a PAPP flux geometry: a woven network of volumetric strands that suggests concentration, branching, and reconstructed continuity. 
Rather than serving as a literal algebraic model, the piece acts as a geometric interpretation of the Kummer idea—where singularity, symmetry, and smooth resolution meet inside a single topological-looking 3D artifact. 
It sits between mathematical visualization, abstract structure, and computational sculpture.

Flower of Life Flux Complexity is a computational 3D wire-structure built as a dense spatial lattice inspired by Flower of Life logic and translated into a volumetric flux graph. 
Rather than a closed surface mesh, the object is a single connected network composed of 863 vertices and 4,452 structural line segments distributed across a symmetric 12 × 12 × 12 spatial field. 
All connections are uniform in length, giving the piece a highly regular internal rhythm despite its visual complexity. 
The result reads as a sacred-geometric complexity field: part lattice, part energetic scaffold, part mathematical diagram extruded into space. These are some ice cubes I created. Below are the components of what makes a cube of ice:
– The displacement is based on the difference between F2 and F1 voronoi, fractalized (scale is repeatedly multiplied by constant "n", texture is also repeatedly divided by n, all passes are added together)
– The normal map is just Improved Perlin Noise (16 octaves)
Materials:
– Glass (Transmissive)
    – Refraction (IOR = 1.330)
    – Glossy
    –Mix based on fresnel reflectance (i_0 + (1-i_0)(1-cos(incoming angle))^5)
– Volumetric
    – Very little absorption
    – A little more but still little scattering
