Plated Knight - Medieval

The chalice has a circular foot with a small flange with a wavy pattern and four straight sections. The slope of the foot has one fold. The cylindrical pelmet of the stem overlaps the base. The nodus is slim, vase-shaped, framed by rings on both sides. The cup is slender with an enlarged edge; it is placed in a basket. The fields of the foot slopes, nodus and basket are alternately fluted and decorated with Regency patterns. The folds of the foot slope, stem rings, cup walls and the fields filled with Regency patterns are gold plated, while the fluted fields are left in a natural silver colour.

A creature concept sculpt of a “Dragon Snake,” combining the elongated, fluid form of a serpent with iconic dragon-like features. The design explores a balance between elegance and power, with a sleek body enhanced by armored scales, subtle ridges, and a more aggressive, draconic head.

The artefact is composed of an iron disc that has been covered with a gold-plated copper plate, which features a concentric decorative scheme. The central area is characterised by the presence of a circular protrusion. Four sets of motifs can be discerned emanating from the object's centre and extending to its periphery. The sequence of elements from the central point towards the periphery is as follows: firstly, a band of waves, radiating flame-like rays, and subsequently, a bar with floral decoration. A band of waves is once again evident at the periphery.

The hook fastener is composed of a silver base plate in hexafoil shape, topped with a gold-plated background plate and a rising, five-fold profiled hexafoil frame. The male figurine is semi-plastic and is set within a frame of foliage. The object is has a cylindrical decorative element affixed to a hook. This element exhibits a quatrefoil design and a plastic decoration that is partially broken and illegible. The decoration is situated on the front of a golden base plate, which features diagonal hatched spandrel areas. The front of the object is gold-plated, and three strip-shaped rivets are present on the back of the decorative plate.

Brooch with star-shaped frame with eight points. The points of the star are shaped like lilies and arranged above a bar, with partially unfinished drill holes visible in the points. The frame also features a beaded decoration. The artefact is completely gold-plated. It has a spike that tapers towards the tip. This has a flat trapezoidal cross-section. On the inside of the frame there is a recess and a hole for the spike axis. Brooches are a significant aspect of high and late medieval fashion. The larger and more stable brooches as such piece are usually attached to the shoulder or chest of the coat.

Octofoil brooch with fleur-de-lis

Zoomorphic effigy vessel in the form of an armadillo, decorated on the exterior surface using incising and carving techniques. The vessel has a slightly concave base and gently curved-convergent walls. A spout oriented toward the rim represents the head. When inverted, the armadillo figure is clearly visible; its back displays a grid-like decoration resembling the animal’s plated carapace, complemented by two horizontal bands ornamented with hatched triangles.

A gold-plated silver ring with a slightly oval ring plate. In the center of the ring plate is an ornamented heraldic lily, which is framed by stamens. An illegible inscription (“+ ∙ VONC ∙ MSAO ∙ V”) surrounds the lily. The ring band is characterized by a round oval cross-section, which is flattened and widened in the area of the ring shoulder. Two cross lines and three rows of stepped lines are also characteristic features. The band transitions clearly into the ring plate.

The ring band exhibits a robust appearance and a flat rectangular cross-section. The handshake motif is clearly defined and sculpted. The inscription 'LIEBHER' is clearly legible on the ring band. The precise nature of the text's referent remains ambiguous, as it cannot be determined with certainty whether the name 'Liebher' or the distinctly written salutation 'Lieber Herr' (Dear Sir) is intended. The letters are embedded in a smooth background with cross-hatching, and there is a diagonally hatched rectangular field in the area of the ring shoulder.

The shield-shaped ring plate is crossed in the middle by a shield-shaped field that rotates from the axis of the ring plate. The field is embellished with a heraldic lion and circumscribed by an inscription that is presumed to read 'O-I-V'. The solid ring band has a semicircular, faceted profile cross-section and is slightly wider towards the ring shoulder. It is decorated with two solid, highly detailed animal heads, which end in offset, longitudinally engraved rods on the narrow side of the ring plate.

The artefact is constituted of a solid, circular ring plate with a handshake motif in the centre, which has been sculpted against the background. The background is characterised by a cross-hatching pattern. The hands are set within a raised band inscribed with the German phrase "+ LIEB AN ENDE", which translates to "love forever". This inscription is further embellished with niello technique. The ring plate is distinguished by a smooth ring band with a trapezoidal cross-section. The width of the component at the ring shoulder is slightly greater than at other points, and it abuts the narrow side of the ring plate.

The frame consists of two intertwined quadrangles accentuated by fleur-de-lis-shaped elements. The frame is also decorated with a bead molding. There is a recess on the inner edge of the frame for the pin axle. 
Brooches were an essential part of high and late medieval fashion and fulfilled two significant functions. The smaller versions were used to close the neckline of the undergarment or dress, while the larger, more sturdy clasps were used to fasten the cloak either on the shoulder or at the front of the chest.

Gold-plated silver ring with a round ring plate. At the core of the motif is the depiction of a lamb advancing towards the right, casting a glance backwards, with a cross and flag (Agnus Dei). The ring band exhibits a flat D-shaped cross-section, which becomes wider and flatter towards the ring shoulder, merging clearly into the ring plate. On the ring shoulder is a cloverleaf-like cross motif consisting of four dots and lines. This motif set off from the ring plate by two cross lines.

The edge area is decorated with diagonal lines, while the ring band exhibits a flat, ribbon-shaped cross-section. The ring band exhibits a slight expansion in the shoulder area, accompanied by a nielloed inscription that is inscribed with the Latin phrase "AVEM[ARI]AG". The ring band is attached to the underside of the ring plate.

The brooch has a teardrop-shaped frame and a silver base plate decorated with a pierced, gold-plated attachment. Four backward-looking eagles are arranged on the base plate, alternating with three mountings. Accompanying the eagles is an eyelet attached to the outer edge of the frame, a hole at the pointed end of the frame and an impression of another mounting. The eagles are mounted on round wire loops and positioned at an angle inwards. The sockets for precious stones have a high divergently sloping rear frame and a low, grooved front frame, which is riveted to the base plate.
